About The Position

Street Legal Industries, Inc. is seeking a Scheduler for our project in San Antonio, TX. The Scheduler supports the DOD with the JBSA and reports to the Project Manager. This position is 100% on-site. The role involves providing direct support to mechanical, fire protection, and project engineers, offering consulting expertise on complex technical issues across various engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical). The Scheduler will produce accurate cost estimates and schedules for programming, budgeting, and contract award of complex multi-contract projects. Responsibilities include maintaining awareness of technical advances, developing detailed cost estimates from a construction contractor's viewpoint, analyzing factors impacting labor, costs, productivity, equipment, materials, mobilization, transportation, safety, and profit. The Scheduler will track status in relation to cost and schedule performance, collect and consolidate program/project information, assess performance, analyze trends, identify project problems, and provide monthly management reports to ensure successful cost and schedule execution.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • More than 10 years' experience
  • Experience with Quality Control
  • Familiarity with RMS
  • US citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience with USACE or Air Force Military Construction (MILCON) projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support of the mechanical, fire protection and project engineers supporting all activities required.
  • Provide consulting expertise on many complex technical issues within various engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering fields, and use this knowledge and understanding to produce accurate cost estimates and schedules for the programming, budgeting, and contract award of complex multi-contract projects.
  • Maintain and promote awareness of technical advances and methods.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates from construction contractor’s viewpoint requiring careful analysis and comprehensive evaluation of numerous factors under differing and complicating circumstances.
  • Consider the nature, type, and location of project which impacts labor market and costs, contractor availability, productivity, special skills, specialized equipment and testing requirements, material requirements and availability, mobilization and demobilization of construction equipment, location and accessibility, transportation, safety requirements, interest, taxes, insurance, profit, and related factors.
  • Track status in relation to cost and schedule performance.
  • Collect and consolidate available program and project information, assess program/project performance, analyze trends related to cost and schedule performance and identify to the extent possible project problems and areas of concern.
  • Use available information to analyze the overall program and individual projects.
  • Provide a monthly management report to include status and performance to provide management information and tools to maximize the likelihood of successful cost and schedule execution.
