About The Position

Become a Key Player as a Scheduler Senior. You will ensure timely movement and processing of parts to meet customer delivery schedules for the organization. You will coordinate across manufacturing, inspection, planning, and support teams while working onsite at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT. Your usual shift will be first shift (5:00am–2:30pm or 6:00am–3:30pm, Mon–Fri), interacting with production planners and shop floor personnel to prevent and recover from schedule disruptions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (must be presecreened).
  • Minimum of three years' experience in dispatching, shop scheduling, or production planning in a computerized manufacturing system environment.
  • Proficiency with MRP2 concepts and knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning, and shop floor control.
  • Knowledge of AMAPS.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing routings, travellers, and blueprints.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (forklift, dolly, hand truck).
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work as a participative team player.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and local to the Ogden, UT area.

  • Familiarity with A.P.I.C.S. concepts/principles.

Responsibilities

  • Update the production and inventory control system with timely, accurate information.
  • Stage and coordinate work across manufacturing areas to meet schedules and optimize resource use.
  • Communicate with support groups to initiate corrective action for work orders on hold and resolve scheduling conflicts between the shop and business teams.
  • Split and track work orders; generate travellers and coordinate with inspection and other groups.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in paperwork or system data to maintain WIP data accuracy.
  • Develop and implement daily work schedules, short-range capacity plans and recovery schedules to support customer requirements.
  • Monitor and coordinate short-term capacity actions (reassignments, overtime, alternate machines, rerouting to vendors).
  • Coordinate release of material/components to resolve shortages and support A.O.G. maintenance agreements and expedited jobs.
  • Prepare customer status reports and respond to shipping information requests.
  • Order and prioritize tooling, prints, set-up sheets; move and package materials as needed.
  • Train and assist less experienced employees and adhere to safety rules.
