About The Position

This role is for a Scheduler Senior, a full-time position located in Ogden, UT. The position involves coordinating production flow and ensuring the timely movement of parts to meet customer delivery schedules, directly impacting manufacturing throughput and customer commitments. The role requires working onsite, primarily on a 1st shift schedule (5:00am–2:30pm or 6:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday). The Scheduler Senior will collaborate with production planners, inspection, contracts, and shop teams to resolve bottlenecks and maintain Work-In-Progress (WIP) accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Candidate must be local to the Ogden, UT area
  • Minimum three years of dispatching, shop scheduling, or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment
  • Proficient in MRP2 concepts and knowledgeable in material requirements planning, capacity planning, and shop floor control
  • Knowledge of AMAPS
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing routings, travelers, and blueprints
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership and training in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Update the production and inventory control system with timely, accurate information
  • Stage and coordinate work across manufacturing areas to meet schedules and utilize resources
  • Communicate with support groups to initiate corrective action for work orders on hold
  • Split and reassign work orders; coordinate with inspection and other groups
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in paperwork or system data to maintain WIP accuracy
  • Develop and implement daily work schedules, short-range capacity plans, and build plans
  • Monitor and resolve short-term capacity conflicts (reassignments, overtime, alternate machines, rerouting)
  • Track work order and purchase order status and prepare customer status reports
  • Coordinate release of material/components and prioritize tooling or prints required at stations
  • Support expedited jobs and A.O.G. maintenance agreements
  • Move materials using forklift, dolly, hand truck, or carts and monitor packaging to prevent damage
  • Train and assist less experienced employees and adhere to safety rules
