We are looking for a Scheduler with Rheumatology experience to join our team and support our mission of improving lives through exceptional service. Requirements
- A high school education or GED
- One to three years of similar or related healthcare experience in Rheumatology
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology and billing
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities
- Schedules patient appointments via phone call, online appointment request and reschedules appointments due to template changes.
- Registers patient appointments and verifies insurance.
- Obtains insurance information does not verify insurance.
- Refers or triages patients to appropriate nursing staff.
- Adheres to HIPAA guidelines/regulations/annual HIPAA training.
- Receives communication from patients via the patient portal regarding appointment changes that are needed and to update demographic information.
- Schedules patients for testing procedures.
- Determines appropriate time/types of appointments and procedures.
- Assists with internal referrals to schedule appointment.
- Sends documentation to appropriate parties regarding patient care.
