About The Position

The Scheduler is responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and communicating the daily equipment and delivery schedules to Production while also providing Account Management status updates or relevant changes that may affect customer requested due dates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience in print manufacturing and print production scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Conventional, Digital printing, & finishing of same as well as relevant production related materials & consumables
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and measurement
  • Basic typing & computer skills.
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast paced manufacturing setting in order to meet daily deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Baci experience working as Custom manufacturing scheduler, or within custom manufacturing production, fulfillment, or distribution environment.
  • Experience working in EFI Product Suite (iQuote, Monarch, Printflow, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • English proficiency is preferred to support job specific operational training and instruction requirements, workplace safety, and effective employee collaboration in a fast paced, changing environment. Many safety protocols, emergency instructions, and operational documentation are provided in English. Clear communication among team members during production activities is essential to maintain efficient workflow, adapt to changing requirements, prevent accidents, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prioritize and manage all jobs by utilizing internal ERP systems such as (but not limited to) iQuote, Printflow, Service Now & Monarch in order to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
  • Actively communicate with production departmental managers, supervisors, &/or leads, as well as other members of all pre-production teams including Scheduling, Estimating/Planning, Purchasing & Account Management to provide target dates for their material inputs or outputs.
  • Collaborate with necessary departmental managers, and Director of Manufacturing to ensure any issues such as schedule execution, material unavailability, equipment downtime, or staffing callouts are minimized or resolved to avoid affecting job’s overall delivery schedule in order to maintain current overall On Time Delivery Percentage (OTIF).
  • Provide production machine schedules that clearly define priorities and expectations to departmental management so they can ensure adequate staffing of equipment on each shift.
  • Verify purchase orders and/or customer supplied products are being received in time to meet the needs of schedules.
  • Work with the Scheduling Lead and Manager, as well as the ERP System Architects to resolve scheduling software issues
  • Participate in daily production meetings
  • Initiate production verified reprints
  • Other duties as assigned
