Kent•Deer Park, TX

About The Position

Kent is seeking a Scheduler/Planner based in Deer Park, Texas, to develop, maintain, and manage integrated Engineering and Procurement schedules for EP projects. The role coordinates with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Project Management, suppliers, and vendors to establish realistic execution plans and ensure engineering deliverables, procurement activities, equipment, and materials meet project requirements. • Set engineering deliverable dates aligned with project milestones and procurement requirements; monitor progress, identify delays and constraints, and assess downstream impacts.
  • Coordinate engineering changes, revisions, client comments, approvals, document issuance, and engineering activities supporting equipment and material procurement.
  • Develop and maintain procurement schedules from planning through purchase order placement and delivery, including requisitions, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor documentation, manufacturing, inspection, testing, shipment, and delivery.
  • Coordinate procurement dates with Engineering and track long-lead equipment, critical materials, purchase orders, vendor performance, vendor documents, and equipment and material delivery.
  • Work with Procurement and Expediting to validate vendor progress, identify delays, develop mitigation strategies, and incorporate vendor manufacturing schedules into the project schedule.
  • Integrate Engineering and Procurement activities into a logically linked schedule, establish interfaces and handoffs, maintain project milestones and execution sequences, and identify the critical path.
  • Develop forward-looking schedule analysis to identify issues before they affect project milestones.
  • Maintain Level 3/4 schedules in Primavera P6 or equivalent, including logic, relationships, constraints, calendars, milestones, coding structures, and the approved baseline.
  • Update schedules using actual progress and forecast information; analyze critical and near-critical activities, float, trends, and forecast completion dates.
  • Develop weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules, identify variances, coordinate corrective actions, and prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans when needed.
  • Evaluate schedule impacts from changes, delays, late engineering deliverables, procurement issues, and vendor performance; support project forecasts and completion projections.
  • Collect and validate progress information from Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, suppliers, and vendors, and update schedules according to the reporting cycle.
  • Provide schedule status and forecast information to Project Management and Project Controls; develop progress reports, dashboards, and trend information and support project reviews and schedule presentations.
  • Support performance reporting and earned value management where applicable.
