About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the production schedule to meet sales forecasts and customer orders. The Scheduler/Planner will review orders, initiate work orders, analyze production specifications, and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

Experience in order retrieval and logging.
Ability to initiate work order requests.
Proficiency in establishing sequences and lead times for operations.
Skills in analyzing production specifications and capacity data.
Capability to perform calculations for manufacturing processes and tools.
Experience in planning and scheduling workflow.
Ability to confer with Production Supervisors.
Skill in expediting operations and altering schedules.
Experience in identifying and monitoring material requirements.
Proficiency in preparing production reports.
Experience in preparing work orders for material procurement.

Responsibilities

Retrieves orders from sales processing center, reviews orders and records in appropriate logging format.
Initiates work order requests for material and works with Inventory / Planning clerks.
Establishes sequence and lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Analyzes production specifications and production capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes and tools.
Plans and schedules workflow for each operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
Confers with Production Supervisor to determine status of assigned projects or production runs.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Identifies and monitors material requirements.
Prepares production reports.
Prepares work orders to obtain raw and sourced material.
