About The Position

The Scheduler Nuclear position involves meeting with discipline clients to resolve conflicts and prioritize work activities based on equipment impact. The role requires coordinating the scheduling of activities to minimize plant risk, reduce out-of-service time for critical equipment, and ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the station. This role is crucial for developing and implementing schedules for both on-line operations and outages, ensuring compliance with nuclear power plant requirements and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Nuclear Power Plant operations and maintenance, including clearance and tagging process and Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and/or Outage Risk Assessment.
  • PWR Plant Certification.
  • Full understanding of the INPO Work Control Process for on-line and/or outage work management.
  • Proficient computer skills in scheduling tools (Primavera P6), work order development tools, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of Maximo and Maximo Scheduler (PX).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure schedules for on-line and/or outages are developed in accordance with BVNPP requirements and standards.
  • Provide scheduling support for site work groups as assigned, including any site organization or vendor with activities needing coordination through an integrated schedule.
  • Prioritize and schedule the scope of work, materials, and man-hours for all work weeks, forced and planned outages as assigned.
  • Coordinate and schedule operations and maintenance activities to minimize equipment/system out of service time and/or Technical Specification Action Conditions.
  • Coordinate and schedule operations and maintenance activities to minimize plant risk.
  • Interface with other work groups to identify and collect necessary information for schedule development and quality.
  • Communicate the schedule with the station through Work Management meetings and/or other communication tools to ensure successful schedule implementation.
