Scheduler & Medical Records Clerk (TBC)
About The Position
The Scheduler and Medical Records Clerk performs various duties associated with routine patient encounters, maintaining positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees. Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA) is an independent physician group that includes family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and an array of specialists and advanced health services. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 7 – 11 months related experience and/or education
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming calls for appointments; be able to handle multi-line telephone/extension numbers, handling 50 to 75 calls per day
- Correctly enter demographic information into the appropriate system
- Review and assess patient medical record to determine the correct study to schedule
- Inform patients of clinic procedures; know which exams require preparation and inform patients of protocols
