The Medical Records Clerk scans information into an electronic medical chart, adhering to HIPAA regulations efficiently and professionally, in accordance with established standards. This role supports the goals and mission of CFHC, Inc. and requires knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and the importance of confidentiality. The clerk will maintain electronic medical records according to policies and procedures, prepare paper and electronic charts for legal requests/subpoenas, scan new patient information into electronic records, and manage documentations from a basket in a timely manner. They will also ensure timely retrieval of requests for release of information, scan medical records reports, complete chart conversion and auditing, and continuously improve computer literacy. The position involves daily work on mapping for combining information between systems and performing other assigned duties.
