About The Position

This role involves coordinating the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies. The Scheduler IV will perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance, evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule, and perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims. The position also requires participation in change order negotiations, performing Critical Path and Earned Value analyses, and identifying schedule-related problems during project execution, recommending corrective actions and creative solutions. Responsibilities include conducting construction/project site visits for progress reporting, reviewing contractor's weekly and monthly schedule progress, preparing narrative findings, and presenting them to management. The role also involves reviewing and evaluating contractor recovery schedules, performing cost analysis in support of design and construction phases of capital projects, and analyzing actual expenditures versus budget performance. The Scheduler IV will prepare cost-loaded schedules to support comprehensive cash flow projections and must understand, interpret, and apply contracts, policies, and procedures within guidelines. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field
  • Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling
  • Experience with time impact analysis
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders

  • Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
