About The Position
Centralized scheduler who accurately schedules patients in various systems for departments within the health system. Confirms patient demographics, prescriptions and/or orders, insurance information and preps/instructions. This person will perform a mini registration to check for eligibility and has knowledge of insurance rules. Answers incoming calls for all the departments, directing and screening them accordingly. Reaches out to patients and providers as needed.
Requirements
- Accurate scheduling of patients.
- Confirmation of patient demographics, prescriptions/orders, and insurance information.
- Knowledge of insurance rules.
- Ability to perform mini-registrations.
- Answering and directing incoming calls.
- Communication with patients and providers.
