About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Site Manager/Director of Care (DOC) the Scheduling Clerk / Administrative Assistant is responsible to ensure staffing levels are maintained.

Requirements

  • Experience in scheduling 80+ Staff in a similar setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.
  • High Attention to detail
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Skills in Microsoft Office
  • Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
  • Appropriately dressed
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Make calls for Care staff replacement shifts.
  • Maintain staffing levels during position vacancies, vacations, and other leaves.
  • Process all Shift Exchange and Vacation forms
  • Update and maintain the Care Services Schedules
  • Be knowledgeable in the Collective Agreement in her daily duties.
  • Maintain phone lists.
  • Create the Daily Team Assignments.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  • Direct Staff inquires to the appropriate person.
  • Ordering of Incontinent products and Maintaining nursing stock room
  • Schedules Care Conferences
  • Other administrative duties as required
