About The Position

This role involves supporting senior-level schedulers in developing high-level pursuit/preconstruction schedules and detailed construction schedules with the project team. Responsibilities include data entry, activity assignment, preparing various outputs from scheduling software, collecting and analyzing scheduling metrics, and preparing periodic schedule updates. If dedicated to a single project site, the role also includes attending project meetings, walking the project site to assess activity completion, and collecting information from lean scheduling meetings to update the CPM. Travel is a requirement, involving either day trips to projects within a region or 12-24 month assignments to a single project throughout the country.

Requirements

  • Experience with Primavera scheduling software
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google spreadsheets
  • Ability to collect and analyze scheduling metrics
  • Experience with data entry and import
  • Ability to prepare schedule updates and track progress
  • Willingness to travel, including day trips within a region or extended assignments (12-24 months) to projects nationwide.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean scheduling methodologies
  • Familiarity with mining as-built schedule data for historical metrics

Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior level scheduler in the development of high-level pursuit / precon schedules and detailed construction schedules with the project team.
  • Data entry (or import) of activities / sequences / durations
  • Assignment of activity and WBS coding
  • Preparing a variety of outputs from Primavera (Gantt Chart, Resource, Tabular exports to Spreadsheets), Excel or Google spreadsheets / graphics
  • Collecting scheduling metrics and creating spreadsheets / data bases to interpret and visualize the data
  • Preparation of periodic schedule updates / data entry (or import) of progress information from the project team
  • Mining data from as-built schedule for historical metrics
  • Attending project meetings – WT, Owner, Subcontractor (if dedicated to a single project site)
  • Walking the project site to assess the completion of schedule activities (if dedicated to a single project site)
  • Collecting information from lean scheduling meetings and using the information to update the CPM (if dedicated to a single project site)
