About The Position

Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region, is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our experienced Vascular Surgery team in Springfield, MA. Baystate Health’s Scheduling Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating complex clinical schedules across the Division of Vascular Surgery service line. The Scheduling Coordinator will manage detailed and high-volume schedules for physicians and care teams across multiple locations (clinics, ORs, procedural suites, etc.). This position may also provide training and coaching to practices on schedule-building best practices. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented
  • 5 or more years of experience in a healthcare administrative setting, required
  • Five or more years managing complex multi-disciplinary schedules
  • GED or HiSET (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in physician and medical procedure scheduling, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex clinical schedules across the Division of Vascular Surgery service line.
  • Manage detailed and high-volume schedules for physicians and care teams across multiple locations (clinics, ORs, procedural suites, etc.).
  • Build and maintain provider schedules using advanced scheduling software and applications.
  • Ensure optimal provider staffing and scheduling to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Perform regular schedule audits and report findings to leadership.
  • Track and organize provider time-off requests, CME, and vacations.
  • Provide training and coaching to practices on schedule-building best practices.
