About The Position

Come join the screams and be a part of our Howl-O-Scream 2026 Scare Acting team! We are looking for fresh blood, so if you want to be part of the haunt, now is the time! This role involves providing top-notch quality product to our seasoned guests and first-time visitors, being part of award-winning Scare-event performances while maintaining creative integrity. Limited opportunities to participate in employee-only events such as ride nights & special event previews are available. Performers entertain guests in various ways, including but not limited to actors, costume characters or specialty talent (such as stilt walking and bungee harness). We look for outgoing performers who can also tell a story through their performance. Must have great showmanship. Be a team player and have a positive attitude. Participate in all physical and vocal warmups and cool downs. Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, lay down, and/or jump up repeatedly for duration of shift. Flexibility in schedule - most shifts will be Thursday - Sunday evenings and will have a start time between 5:00pm-6:30pm with an end time of 12:00am-1:00am. Must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have great showmanship.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, lay down, and/or jump up repeatedly for duration of shift.
• Must be available for at least 2 consecutive event nights per week throughout the run (Fridays and Saturdays or Saturdays and Sundays).
• Must be available either 10/30 or 10/31 or both.
• Prepare a resume and headshot.
• Wear form fitting dance attire that allows a full range of movement and tennis or jazz shoes.
• Do not wear jeans.

Nice To Haves

• Sight reading skills are preferred for vocalists.

Responsibilities

• Provide top notch quality product to our seasoned guests and first-time visitors.
• Be a part of award-winning Scare-event performances while maintaining creative integrity.
• Participate in all physical and vocal warmups and cool downs.
• Entertain guests in various ways, including but not limited to actors, costume characters or specialty talent (such as stilt walking and bungee harness).
• Tell a story through performance.
• Be a team player and have a positive attitude.
• Learn a dance combination and participate in improve and athletic stamina exercises.
• Perform in multiple high-energy shows per day, on our stages and streets, to connect with our guests and create memories that last a lifetime.
• Greet guests, shake hands, pose for pictures, and give hugs (as a costumed character).
• Assist with guest interactions (as a costumed character escort).
• Bring special and seasonal events to life.
• Add fun and scary excitement to our award-winning Howl-O-Scream events.
