About The Position

Broome County is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scanning Clerk to assist with the digitization and retention of county records. This position is responsible for preparing, scanning, organizing, and verifying documents to ensure accurate electronic recordkeeping. Training will be provided on scanning equipment, quality control procedures, and departmental processes. Candidates who are organized, comfortable using computers, and able to follow established procedures are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Possess basic computer skills.

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to follow instructions and complete tasks independently.

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based background screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with filing systems, records management, document scanning, or administrative support is helpful but not required.
