About The Position
The Scalehouse Attendant serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a WM facility. The role calculates payments, checks incoming loads, and helps ensure the safety of customers and employees by observing safety rules and regulations. The position primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. The schedule is a seven-days-on, seven-days-off rotation. Night shift is 6 p.m.–6 a.m.; a morning shift is also available from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. The listed pay is $20.00. Overtime may be required as needed.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, direct customers and other traffic, and answer questions accurately.
- Correctly calculate customer payments.
- Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain inappropriate material.
- Ensure customers and employees conduct business safely and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Provide general upkeep of the Scale House.
- Complete administrative tasks, including regular filing and required reports.
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed of problems or matters requiring attention.
- Attend company-sponsored training and meetings as directed.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties, including data entry and minor customer service responsibilities.
- Approach encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
