About The Position

A leading provider of industrial weighing solutions, specializing in the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty scale systems. Our technicians uphold the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented technician to join our growing team. The Heavy-Duty Scale Technician is responsible for servicing a variety of industrial and commercial scale systems, both in the field and at customer sites. This role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Work is performed in diverse environments, including outdoor job sites, industrial facilities, and occasionally in challenging weather conditions. This is a full-time position with hands-on work at multiple customer sites across the region. Work may involve heights, confined spaces, or industrial environments depending on the project. Technicians represent company and must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail; quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and industrial environments.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve issues independently.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must currently hold a CDL (Class A or B with air brake endorsement ) or be willing and able to obtain one.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays.
  • Availability for occasional weekend work; standard schedule is Monday–Friday.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate skid steers or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical repair, or scale service.
  • Familiarity with NIST Handbook 44 and weighing system standards.
  • Background in construction, heavy equipment, or field service roles.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair heavy-duty truck and industrial scales.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
  • Use specialized tools, calibration weights, and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and lifting devices as required.
  • Document service activities, calibration results, and maintenance records with precision.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and internal team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional work ethic on all job sites.
  • Manage time effectively to complete projects efficiently and meet service deadlines.
