About The Position

Primarily responsible for weighing boxes of product; ensures accuracy of weight, labels, and codes. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience.
Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

Weigh loaded trailers and print a weigh ticket.
Distribute live haul trailers underneath a holding shed using a yard truck or tractor.
Bring loaded trailers around to be unloaded by a forklift.
Bring empty trailers back to scales to be weighed out to establish a tare weight.
Enter tickets in a database.
Trailers are to be “bucked” and “un-bucked” in a timely manner.
Stray birds are to be kept up and delivered to the dumper.
Holding shed fans and fogging system are to be monitored and turned on or off based on our animal welfare guidelines and the comfort level of the birds being held.
Scale office is to be kept clean and orderly as well as helping keep outside (scales, holding shed, etc.) clean and neat.
Move trailers to and from the bay for the box room.
Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers.
Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.
