About The Position

Logistec is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Scale Operator to support weekend terminal operations. The position weighs incoming and outgoing trucks, records material weights, maintains accurate transaction records, and assists drivers through the scale process. It operates in a busy terminal environment with regular interaction with truck drivers and terminal staff. Accuracy, reliability, communication, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.

The role is part-time and requires availability on both Saturday and Sunday. A minimum of four hours is guaranteed per scheduled shift. The operator must be dependable and punctual for all scheduled weekend shifts.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in scale operations, logistics, trucking, shipping and receiving, or terminal operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scales to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Accurately record truck weights, material quantities, and transaction information.
• Verify shipping documents, scale tickets, and related paperwork.
• Communicate with truck drivers and terminal personnel to ensure an efficient flow of traffic.
• Maintain accurate records of daily scale transactions and material movements.
• Identify and report discrepancies in weights or documentation.
• Follow company safety procedures and terminal operating guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized scale house and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
