About The Position

The Terminal Operator supports terminal operations by performing duties professionally, safely, and efficiently. The position offers opportunities to learn additional skills, develop in other areas, and build a career with Buzzi Unicem USA. The operator loads bulk trucks from designated silos, ensures loads meet customer specifications and legal limits, positions railcars for unloading, monitors unloading operations, and maintains the terminal and grounds. The role requires working indoors and outdoors in year-round weather, sometimes at extended hours, on holidays, or overtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Ability to work different extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime as required.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in year-round weather conditions.
Good physical condition, including ability to bend; use a broom and shovel; lift and carry up to 100 pounds; sit and stand for extended periods; kneel; climb ladders; and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces.
Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass.

Responsibilities

Load bulk trucks safely, efficiently, and promptly from designated silos as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
Ensure each load meets customer specifications and legal limits.
Position railcars over the loading area and connect them to unloading equipment.
Monitor the unloading process and safely operate manual unloading gates, air valves, and blowers.
Follow company safety policies and perform work safely.
Clean terminal areas and grounds.
Obtain daily and weekly samples.
