About The Position

The Scale Operator - Pack Out position is a full-time, non-exempt role in the Production Department, reporting to the Department Supervisor. This on-site position requires the ability to operate production and office equipment, accurately complete paperwork, and communicate effectively. The role involves general labor duties in a poultry production environment, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to learn and perform a variety of general labor duties in a poultry production environment.
Available to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required.
Ability to follow safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), company policies, and departmental procedures.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
General mathematical ability required to perform job.
Should possess the ability to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).
Must have the availability to work assigned hours including overtime and some weekends required.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma preferred.
Related production, manufacturing, food processing, poultry processing, warehouse, or general labor experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to work in different production areas based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Enter data using a keyboard.
Operate production equipment as well as office equipment (i.e. Fax machine, copier, 10 key-calculator, scale, computer, email).
Accurate completion of paperwork with neatness and timeliness.
Conducts self with high professionalism with supervisors and associates and can clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Analyze and calculate data using basic math skills. (i.e. subtraction, addition, multiplication, division).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, with regards to time as well as resources.
