About The Position

The Scale House Operator will be responsible for weighing inbound and outbound trucks at the mill. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, including logging each truck into both a computer system and a written log sheet. The operator must possess a weigh master certificate and stamp all tickets. Additionally, they will conduct moisture, test weight, and temperature tests on corn and wheat trucks, retaining samples for further analysis. The operator will also weigh fuel and refrigerated trucks from House of Raeford. A key part of the role includes managing visitor access: identifying visitors, logging them in, notifying the relevant employee, directing them to the correct location, and logging them out upon departure. All completed truck and visitor log sheets must be retained for one month and submitted to the supervisor. Copies of all log sheets are to be kept for inventory purposes.

Requirements

• Must have a weigh master certificate.
• Ability to keep written log sheets and enter information into a computer.
• Proficiency in weighing trucks.
• Skill in using a probe to test corn and wheat trucks for moisture, test weight, and temperature.
• Ability to retain samples for further testing.
• Experience logging visitors in and out.
• Ability to retain visitor log sheets and truck log sheets.
