About The Position

The Scale House Operator is responsible for weighing live haul trailers, accurately recording information, and maintaining communication between plant personnel and live haul operations. This role requires good organizational, time management, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The operator will use the MTECH system on the computer to manage data and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

  • Verification of employment eligibility must be documented for all new employees by the end of the third day of work.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh live haul trailers loaded and unloaded
  • Fill out scale tickets with information from the catcher load sheet
  • Write all information on long sheet
  • Copy all information from long sheet to office sheet
  • Weigh RVI trailers
  • Make sure PVP/NON PVP signs are on the trailers
  • Figure head counts for each trailer/farm when finished with the house for that farm
  • Figure yard time and write it on the long sheet
  • Figure DOA’s and weight at the end of the shifts
  • Keep track of USDA PVP sheet
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Maintain communication with all involved personnel (Plant and live haul)
