About The Position

Responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day operation and administrative duties associated with scale operation. This role involves the preparation and accuracy of all Cietrade scale entries associated with inbound and outbound loads. The Scale Clerk will operate weighing scales and related equipment to accurately measure and record the weight of materials, create and maintain accurate records of all inbound recycle materials, and resolve any receiving discrepancies with weights, grades, and suppliers in Cietrade. The position ensures all inbound and outbound loads are tracked and recorded, and that proper truck weights are accurate and recorded in Cietrade. Additionally, the role involves setting up transportation for inbound loads as requested by the traffic lead, working with Sourcing Representatives to resolve discrepancies while ensuring supplier needs are met, and corresponding with internal and external customers regarding pick-up requests, confirmations, schedule changes, and providing Truck ETA information. General administrative tasks such as filing, assisting with cieTrade, and answering phone calls are also part of the responsibilities. The Scale Clerk will provide coverage and serve as a back-up/point of contact for the shipping/receiving coordinator, traffic lead, and receiver. A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards and participating in process improvement activities to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction is expected. Other duties as assigned will also be performed.
