About The Position

Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth and is in search of a Scale Attendant to manage/handle linen at one of their prestigious client locations in New Haven, CT. The schedule for this position is 4 days per week, Thursday - Sunday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Weekend availability is required. The salary range for this position is $17.00/hour to $20.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.

Requirements

• MUST have flexibility to work various hours (mornings, evenings, weekends) totaling 40 hours per week
• Must be able to lift loads of linen and push carts filled with linen (50+lbs)
• Responsive in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Superior communication/customer relations skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Collection and distribution of linen
• Counting, recording, and inventorying merchandise
• Preparing and organizing pack-out carts/baskets for distribution
• Weigh incoming and outgoing carts/baskets
• Building carts and baskets as needed
