About The Position

The Scaffolder 1 builds, positions, and dismantles wooden structures, including concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or company standards. The role transports and erects tubular scaffolding to required dimensions, secures it to structures, and prepares stable working platforms. It also involves installing ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways, and may include rigging materials. Additional responsibilities may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.
• General knowledge of OSHA, site, and JEMCI requirements.
• Knowledge of standards for acceptable scaffold erection.

Responsibilities

• Transport tubular scaffold to the site and erect it to the required dimensions.
• Hammer material into each locking section.
• Hoist scaffold boards to the top section for use as a working platform and level all sections.
• Cut plywood to fit and nail it to the platform area.
• Secure scaffolding to the structure.
• Erect scaffolding for buildings and other structures.
• Install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Rig materials when required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
