About The Position

Turner Industries is hiring experienced Scaffold Builders for jobs in the Beaumont, TX area. Scaffold Builders are expected to assemble, position, modify, and dismantle scaffolding to job specifications. This is a non-exempt role and reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman). Assigned duties are according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Three (3) years of experience in specified skill
Ability to operate different types of Forklift
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Employee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit

Responsibilities

Assemble, position, modify, and dismantle scaffolding to job specifications.
Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness.
Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels.
Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place.
Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required.
Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
