About The Position

Skillforce is seeking experienced Scaffold Builders for a data center project in Sterling, VA. The role involves assisting with the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems used to support construction, maintenance, and remediation work. Safety, quality, and reliability are essential. The position pays $30–$32 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of scaffold building experience.
Experience erecting and dismantling various scaffold systems.
Proven scaffold-building experience or experience in a related construction trade.
Knowledge of OSHA scaffolding standards and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, scaffold design plans, construction drawings, and safety procedures.
Strong understanding of scaffold safety standards and best practices.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Assemble, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Inspect scaffolding components and ensure structures are safe and secure for use.
Work with project managers, safety personnel, and fellow tradespeople to meet project requirements.
Load, unload, and organize scaffolding materials and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow OSHA, site-specific, and company safety regulations.
