About The Position

This role involves constructing, erecting, and maintaining various types of scaffolds in an industrial construction setting. The Scaffold Builder/Erector is responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant assembly of scaffolds, including stationary, mobile, and suspended types, adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies. The position requires careful planning to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers, as well as the ability to inspect, repair, and maintain scaffolds. Responsibilities also include material handling, assisting with assembly, maintaining a safe work environment, and performing tasks with hand and power tools.

Requirements

Minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.
Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Ability to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
Proficiency in the safe and dexterous use of hand tools.
Proficiency in the safe operation of power tools and equipment.
Adherence to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Communicates with others to perform tasks.
Selects proper size and type of scaffold materials according to project specifications and dimensions.
Plans scaffold installation to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
Erects stationary, mobile, and suspended scaffolds safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Inspects and maintains installed scaffolds, repairing and replacing materials and components as required.
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Loads, transports, unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Restocks supplies and materials as necessary.
Safely traverses uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Climbs vertical ladders and works above/below ground as necessary.
Performs a variety of tasks involving safe and dexterous use of hand tools.
Safely operates power tools and equipment.
Adheres to all safety procedures.
