About The Position

This role involves assisting Scaffold Builders and Erectors in various construction tasks. The helper will be responsible for selecting and preparing materials, planning installations, assembling structures, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the work environment. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work at heights, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years industrial construction experience.
Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Ability to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
Proficiency in safe, dexterous use of hand tools.
Proficiency in safely operating power tools and equipment.
Adherence to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Communicates with Scaffold Builders and others to perform tasks.
Selects proper size and type of building materials according to project specifications and dimensions.
Plans the installation to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails and scaffold pins.
Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
Erects framework for structures.
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Loads, transports, unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Restocks supplies and materials as necessary.
Safely traverses uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Climbs vertical ladders and works above/below ground as necessary.
Performs a variety of tasks involving safe, dexterous use of hand tools.
Safely operates power tools and equipment.
Adheres to all safety procedures.
