About The Position

This role involves overseeing scaffold building and erection, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications and schedules. The Foreman will instruct journeymen, coordinate with other crafts, interpret blueprints, and manage project scope and cost controls.

Requirements

  • 6 years of industrial construction experience.
  • 2 years in a Supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of other craft disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding of job specifications.
  • Familiarity with Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
  • Knowledge of project cost control procedures.
  • Commitment to staying within established cost goals and unit rate standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Check and improve existing job/task methods and procedures.
  • Provide on-the-spot corrective actions for safety and quality issues.
  • Instruct journeymen in craft tasks, including safety procedures.
  • Coordinate work between crafts to prevent jurisdictional conflicts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications.
  • Inspect finished work for quality and completeness.
  • Understand and implement project scope, priorities, and schedules.
  • Complete planned work on schedule.
  • Identify and address potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Take remedial action for work not meeting standards.
  • Adhere to project cost control procedures and unit rate standards.
  • Ensure accurate submission of reports (time sheets, backcharges, quantity, work status).
