This position is responsible for installing, upgrading, testing, and calibrating Operational Technology instrumentation and control devices. The role involves monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting field communications and equipment failures, ensuring accurate interfaces between RTUs/PLCs/EFMs and the SCADA system. The technician will maintain radio, satellite, and cellular communications equipment, potentially climbing towers for repairs and replacements, and performing work in accordance with FCC, FAA, and OSHA standards. Responsibilities also include facilitating the maintenance and reliability of associated infrastructure like OT power systems, UPS, and generators, ensuring redundancy measures are functioning. The role provides technical expertise as a liaison between SCADA and Operations personnel, offering second-tier technical support. Additionally, the technician will support TCP/IP network communications, respond to emergency calls, and assist with physical and cyber security tasks.
