About The Position

Are you a highly motivated SCADA hardware/software specialist with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex industrial problems? If so, we want you to join our team as a Technical Sales Consultant focused on SCADAPack Smart RTUs. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for working with customers to help them create solutions using the SCADAPack hardware/software package and other Schneider solutions. You will collaborate closely with other TSCs, internal and external sales staff, offer management, and R&D to develop, build, troubleshoot, and enhance solutions for customers. The primary markets you will focus on will be the upstream and midstream energy sectors, as well as water and wastewater, among others. Travel: The ability to travel up to 50% of the time is essential for this position. In this role, the successful candidate will be required to travel frequently across the United States and Canada to meet with customers and provide technical knowledge, expertise, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Technologist Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline is required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC/RTU integration experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures and data management in IIoT, automation systems such as SCADA hardware and software, RTUs, and PLCs.
  • Experience with automation protocols such as MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3, and EthernetIP.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and/or OT Security, including Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Good understanding of Linux systems and Python applications.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to help them create solutions using the SCADAPack hardware/software package and other Schneider solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with other TSCs, internal and external sales staff, offer management, and R&D to develop, build, troubleshoot, and enhance solutions for customers.
  • Providing technical knowledge, expertise, and training to customers during travel.
