Requirements

Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience developing PLC programs and SCADA/HMI systems
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, networks, and communication protocols
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs
Proven troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and networked systems

Nice To Haves

Experience in water/wastewater, utilities, or industrial environments
Background in UI/UX or graphic design for industrial interfaces
Familiarity with RTUs, radio/telemetry systems, or advanced system integrations

Responsibilities

Translate engineering control narratives into functional PLC logic, SCADA configurations, and detailed system designs
Develop PLC programs using ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming
Configure SCADA systems including point mapping, templates, RTUs, and communication protocols
Design intuitive, user-friendly HMI/SCADA interfaces with a focus on usability and consistency
Build and execute test plans to validate programming performance before deployment
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting—both remotely and on-site with customers
Collaborate closely with automation engineers, project managers, and field teams to deliver successful projects
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of system logic, configurations, and updates
