About The Position
The SCADA Operator monitors, analyzes, dispatches and communicates to on-call personnel, field operators and utility technicians the remote monitoring alarms received from field instrumentation and transmitting systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 0-2 Years of Related Experience Required
- Competent using Microsoft OS; Excel, Word‚ Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Uses skills needed to obtain or provide routine information and answer some straightforward questions; Communication often requires some interpretation (e.g. dealing with inquiries).
Responsibilities
- Monitors SCADA alarms from a central computer and telephone.
- Generates work orders to personnel through computer and telephone.
- Generates and distributes SCADA reports when requested.
- Issues System Pressure Advisories and Lifts in accordance with operations supervisor instruction.
- Performs other assignments as required.
