About The Position

PURVIS Systems is seeking a SCADA Field Service Technician to join their team. This role involves the installation, technical maintenance, and repair of video surveillance systems (cameras and peripherals) and access control systems (card readers, intercoms, and peripherals). The technician will be part of a team providing critical operations across various work sites throughout New York City.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years work-related experience.
• Familiarity with all aspects of cameras.
• Knowledge of simple networking and network cabling.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10/11, etc.).
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to use various hand tools and electronic test equipment.
• Some heavy lifting from time-to-time is required.
• Position requires climbing and using all types of ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• No sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repair and maintenance of all aspects of video surveillance and access control systems and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot video surveillance and access control systems to the device level.
• Install and configure new software and/or hardware as required.
• Travel through the New York City boroughs to install, repair and maintain equipment at various locations.
• Use various hand tools and equipment for installation and repair such as multimeter, drill etc.
• Run various types of cabling.
