About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Tech IV in Bedford, Indiana to support the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) Small Form Factor (SFF) and Medium-Range Intercept Capabilities (MRIC) program. This position will support mission-critical production and testing activities. The successful candidate will work closely with government customers, technicians, and engineering personnel to drive successful production, integration, and operational readiness of CAC2S systems. This role will be fully onsite in Bedford, IN.

Requirements

• HS/GED and 3 or more years’ experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
• No clearance is required to start however must be able to obtain a secret clearance SAIC will sponsor the clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between government engineering/logistics personnel and production teams to address system issues and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
• Attend scheduling, logistics, and engineering meetings, providing critical insights to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
• Develop and update production process documentation, including work cards and technical data packages, to streamline operational workflows.
• Train and mentor production technicians in system operations, troubleshooting, and new processes.
• Monitor, analyze, and enhance production performance, taking corrective actions as needed to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain critical production metrics, shipment schedules, and inventory data.
• Provide technical support for engineering activities such as design, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
