About The Position

School Based Health Center- Behavioral Health Therapist - Breed Middle School. This role is for a Behavioral Health Therapist within a School Based Health Center, focusing on providing accessible and quality behavioral health care for children and adolescents in a school setting. The position involves collaborating with school staff, including teachers, social workers, adjustment counselors, and school leadership, to deliver supportive, culturally aware, and trauma-informed care. The role emphasizes social justice, empowering and affirming care, and professional growth with opportunities for loan repayment/salary supplement, funding for license renewals, and continuing education. It also values work-life balance with generous time off, including school holidays, breaks, and 22 days off during the summer. Requirements

  • Must be licensed or license eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Psychology, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMFT).
  • Doctoral or master’s degree, with commensurate practicum, internship, and post graduate work focused clinical mental health practice.
  • Experience in treating patients from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds who experience a range of mental health challenges
  • Experience consulting and/or collaborating with the various agencies that provide care and support in the community for children and families

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in participating in quality improvement activities and program development helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Create patient-centered treatment plans, provide ongoing treatment, and case management services, and assess patient’s ongoing clinical needs and progress.
  • Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial diagnostic evaluations with patients.
  • Provide a team-oriented approach to patient care and fully participate in integrating behavioral health care with primary care.
  • Engage in collaborative crisis management services in urgent situations.
