About The Position

The SBA Operations Manager will lead, coach, and develop the SBA/Government Lending Operations team, ensuring adherence to current SBA regulations, internal policies, and consistent, timely execution of all responsibilities. This role oversees the end-to-end SBA loan lifecycle, including documentation, closing, servicing, liquidation, and reporting, ensuring loans are compliant, properly documented, and maintain a valid guaranty. The manager will serve as a subject matter expert on SBA eligibility, structuring, and policy by resolving complex scenarios, providing guidance to lenders and partners, and acting as a liaison with the SBA and related agencies. Additionally, the role drives process improvements that enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and elevate the borrower and stakeholder experience while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Support for audit readiness, risk management, and quality assurance is also a key function, involving monitoring performance, addressing issues, and implementing appropriate controls. The position requires maintaining awareness of and adherence to the Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies, and procedures, and applying them to daily tasks. The manager is expected to deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • 4 years/Bachelor's degree in business-related field OR equivalent relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Interview and select candidates for openings, set goals for associates, assign tasks/duties, conduct on–the-job training, develop associates’ skills and encourage growth, prepare disciplinary write-ups as appropriate, prepare and conduct performance reviews and make recommendations for salary adjustments, approve timecards for FTEs and other duties associated with managing a staff.
