About The Position

The Small Business Administration (SBA) Note Accountant will be responsible for various accounting and loan servicing duties within the SBA Lending Department. This role involves booking loans, managing SBA loan servicing through Etran, processing payments and disbursements, handling loan modifications, and generating correspondence and reports. The position also includes customer service responsibilities, such as answering calls and greeting customers.

Requirements

Basic Accounting knowledge
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications
Able to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines
Outstanding listening and communication skills both written and verbal
Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks
Excellent organization skills
Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor
Must be flexible and able to work additional hours when crucial to the department environment
Daily attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job

Nice To Haves

Prior accounting experience preferred (but not required) Commercial and R/E transactions

Responsibilities

Book loans into Horizon
SBA loan servicing via Etran
Post payments and disbursements daily
Process and book loan modifications, deferrals, etc.
Produce payoff letters, notifications and other correspondence for title companies, borrowers and secondary market
Process loans paid-in-full and collateral lien releases
Produce reports internally and externally daily, monthly, quarterly and annually
Answer incoming calls and greet customers for Commercial Capital (SBA Lending Department)
Assist with other job related duties and special projects as requested
