About The Position

The SBA Franchise Development Officer Senior is responsible for managing and growing existing franchise relationships, which are approximately $25-$50MM in size. This role is also a development role, requiring the identification of top franchise brands and outreach to key contacts for SBA loan volume. The position involves supporting business banking production, streamlining loan processes, assessing borrower risk, and performing various administrative and training tasks. It also includes managing vendor meetings, tracking loan volume, and creating brand-specific reports. Travel may be required for vendor visits, presentations, and franchisee education at conferences.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 + years of Franchise Business Development or experience building franchise relationships

Responsibilities

  • Supports Business Banking production by maintaining a franchise volume by brand.
  • Researching and developing streamline loan processes by brand so the SBA Franchise Specialists can work directly with the customers in a fast environment.
  • Appropriately assess risk profile of borrower.
  • Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family. Tasks included are training, administrative tasks and supporting the brand/franchise loan process, as well as maintain tracking by brand of productivity.
  • Manage weekly or biweekly meetings with the vendor.
  • Follow up on volume in and out of the credit loan center, handling customer issues and vendor issues as it relates to the SBA loans and creating reporting by brand for the tracking of volume and referral fees.
  • Development role and the individuals will need to determine the top 100 franchise brands in the country and call on the appropriate people for SBA loan volume. This could include travel to the vendor, presenting SBA loan options, educating franchisees at conferences and discover days.
