About The Position

The SBA Closer for United Federal Credit Union will drive loans to close from the proposal stage through to closing. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP and other SBA programs. The Closer partners with the Business Development Officer to organize files, determine necessary documentation, and guide clients through the closing process. They are responsible for reviewing credit approval conditions, collecting due diligence, ordering third-party reports, and ensuring all loans are closed in accordance with credit approvals and SBA SOP Guidelines.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP as well as knowledge of other SBA programs as applicable.
  • Partner with Business Development Officer to organize file and determine items needed in support of getting deals from the Proposal stage into Underwriting.
  • Review and analyze credit approval conditions to prepare a Closing Checklist and provide guidance to the client through the closing process.
  • Collect and review all due diligence documentation.
  • Order third party reports.
  • Ensure loans are closed in accordance with the credit approval and SBA SOP Guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
