About The Position

ATC Automation is seeking a Saw Operator to join our team in Cookeville, TN. As a Saw Operator, you will play an important role in supporting the production of custom automation systems by preparing and cutting materials according to blueprints and specifications. Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Ability to understand and apply metric and SAE measurements using measuring tools and precision instruments.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to learn and safely operate equipment and tools required for the role.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or related hands-on experience preferred.
Technical training or related education is a plus.
Strong mathematical aptitude and experience using precision measuring instruments.
Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and material requirements to prepare and cut materials accurately.
Generate and verify material lists to support production and fabrication needs.
Perform sawing operations in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and work instructions.
Read and interpret metric and SAE measurements using precision measuring instruments and tools.
Perform basic mathematical calculations to support Statistical Process Control (SPC) measurements and charting techniques.
Review daily work schedules and inspect equipment, safety devices, mistake-proofing devices, materials, and supplies before beginning work.
Learn and follow all job procedures, work instructions, and operational processes to perform assigned tasks successfully.
Complete required paperwork accurately and maintain production records as needed.
Maintain tools and equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
Identify and report safety concerns, quality issues, and material shortages to the Team Leader.
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all Health & Safety, Quality Management, and Environmental Management System policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively as a valued member of the Tooling and Fabrication team.
Support overtime needs when required to meet production goals.
