About The Position

As a Saw Operator PP Panel, you will be responsible for using the appropriate saw to cut honeycomb material into the designated shape and size to meet specifications. This role involves inspecting and finishing material and preparing it for shipment. This position is in our Plastics division on 1st shift, which runs Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The starting pay for this role is $18.90 per hour.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Mechanically inclined

Responsibilities

  • Determine customer requirements per the work order.
  • Identify material to be cut for the day from the production work order.
  • Obtain raw honeycomb materials from extrusion/expansion areas.
  • Set up saws according to cutting instructions.
  • Cut honeycomb into shapes and sizes designated by customer requirements.
  • Perform and record all necessary information to ensure traceability and quality.
  • Report production results at the end of the shift on all necessary documents and/or software.
  • Properly dispose of scrap material per Plascore, Inc. non-conforming material procedure.
  • Properly dispose of scrap material to ensure traceability.
  • Follow all work orders and process specifications.
  • Monitor equipment and maintain it in good working order.
  • Perform inventory checks on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist other production areas as required.
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Improve job efficiency and performance through idea suggestions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
  • Help remove blocks from frames.
  • Assist extruder operators during breaks.
