About The Position

We are hiring a Saw Operator for a local distributor specializing in pipe, valves, and fittings for the oil and gas industry. The position primarily involves operating saws to cut pipe to customer specifications, as well as helping load and unload materials and performing general warehouse and shop duties. The employer is looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn different areas of the operation.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand throughout the shift.
• Comfort working with pipe and other industrial materials.
• Dependable and hardworking.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or saw operation experience preferred.
• Experience operating HEM saws, band saws, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HEM saws and band saws to cut pipe to specified lengths.
• Measure pipe and materials to ensure accurate cuts.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing pipe shipments.
• Assist with handling, moving, and organizing pipe, valves, and fittings.
• Read tape measures, work orders, and basic specifications.
• Assist with general warehouse and shop duties as needed.
• Learn to operate additional equipment and machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures.
