About The Position

The Saturn (Flexo Folder Gluer) Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner, monitoring machine operations to detect malfunctions and determine necessary adjustments, and troubleshooting and correcting product defects. This role involves performing routine adjustments during machine runs to maintain production throughout, setting up and operating the machine to meet published specifications, and ensuring all orders are completed to specifications, including special instructions. The operator will also perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on the Flexo Folder Gluer and related equipment, run the machine to meet production goals, and maintain housekeeping standards. Compliance with all safety rules, quality policies, and protocols is essential. The position also includes supporting the training of assistant operators, conducting operations in a safe manner, maintaining a clean work area, and accurately completing required records, reports, forms, and logs. Other duties may be assigned by managers or supervisors.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to perform basic arithmetic
Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler
Ability to read manufacturing orders
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of reading, adjusting, and recording PH, viscosity charts & caliper
Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience
Basic knowledge of printing process
Responsible and self-motivated
Stable and verifiable work history

Responsibilities

Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods
Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed
Identify, troubleshoot, and correct product defects caused by the machine
Performs routine adjustments during the machine run, maintain production throughout the run
Sets up and operate machine meeting established published specifications
Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable
Identifies and makes basic repairs to the machine
Responsible for the operation of the Flexo Folder Gluer and related equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements according to operation standards
Runs the machine meeting production goals
Maintains housekeeping all the time
Comply with all IPs Safety rules, Quality policies, and protocols at all times
Supports training of assistant operators and others as needed
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Keep appropriate records, reports (complete forms, logs, and records accurately as required)
Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisor/shift leader
