The Saturday Engineer performs a variety of hotel maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and building systems. Work includes HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the hotel’s preventative maintenance program. The role works closely with team members and calls for an engaging attitude, attention to detail, and a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences. The position is at Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Marlborough, a 230-room hotel with event space, a restaurant, and a bar. Requirements

Experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
Knowledge of household repairs, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
Engaging and welcoming personality.

Excellent communication skills.
Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and similar items.
Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Maintain records and task logs as required by company policy and procedures.
Prepare reports as requested by supervisors and submit requested reports and logs in a timely manner.
Maintain the hotel’s preventative maintenance program.
