Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) seeks an Associate Satellite Systems Engineer to serve as a Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Payload Systems Engineer. This role is part of the Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division and supports the GPS sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base, near Colorado Springs. The GPS is a vital satellite-based navigation system for global military and civilian users. Boeing has a long history with GPS, currently sustaining and monitoring 12 GPS Block IIF satellites for the U.S. Space Force. This sustainment effort is expected to continue through the life of the satellites, potentially beyond 2031, under a 10-year contract from 2022 to 2031. As a GPS Navigation Payload Systems Engineer, you will become a subject matter expert for the Navigation Payload on GPS Block IIF satellites, focusing on performance trending and analysis. You will collaborate with spacecraft bus and secondary payload experts and interact daily with U.S. Space Force personnel responsible for satellite command and control.
